In Sunderbani Nagar Kirtan was taken out from Gurudwara Singh Sabha Thanda Pani to Gurudwara Singh Sabha Sunderbani and in Nowshera from Gurudwara Chhatti Padshai to Bus Stand Nowshera. A large number of devotees joined the religious procession.
Shri Guru Granth Sahib was placed on a decorated vehicle and Ragi Jathas were accompanying, followed by Sikh Sangat. The Sikh youth displayed martial art/ Gakta which was main public attraction of the programme.
A large number of Sikh community people from adjoining villages of Thanda Pani, Marchola, Tanda, Benigala, Lam, Qila Darhal, Kanara, Nonial, Rajpur Bhatta, Dhalia, Hanjana and Naria came to Gurudwara Chhatti Padshai Nowshera and Gurudwara Singh Sabha Thanda Pani today morning. The Nagar Kirtan was started after the `Ardas’ by Granthi Mohinder Singh of Thanda Pani and Granthi Gurudwara Chhati Padshai Nowshera Tarlok Singh.
A highly decorated chariot was created by using open vehicles where the Holy Guru Granth Sahib was set on these decent decorated vehicles. It was fitted with loud speakers and several religious personalities of the Sikh community were leading the grand Shoba Yatra and reciting Gurbani Shabad Kirtan. In front of the vehicle `Panj Payare’ attired a traditional dress of warriors carrying swords in hands were leading the grand Nagar Kirtan.
This programmes was organised by Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Sunderbani & Nowshera. Police and administration fully cooperated in this programmes. The people arranged stalls of eatables.
In connection with celebration of birthday of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, an impressive Nagar Kirtan was taken out in Kathua town by Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Kathua led by its president Charanjit Singh . The Nagar Kirtan started from Gurudwara Singh Sabha which was flagged off by SSP Kathua, Suleman Choudhary accompanied by members of civil society.
The Guru ka Diwan was set up and Guru ki Palki was decorated with flowers. Thousands of the devotees joined the Nagar Kirtan while chanting the Gurbani. The Nagar Kirtan which passed through various parts of the Kathua city was welcomed by devotees in large number. They had installed stalls of sweets and fruit enroute. The Sikh warriors known as Gatka party displayed their talent in warrior action which was mark of attraction for every one.
SSP Kathua Suleman Choudhary congratulated the Sikh community on the Gurupurab and said that all arrangements of security have been made for Nagar Kirtan. The president of GPC, Charanjit Singh said that following the teachings of Great Guru Gobind Singh are needed at present to strengthen the brotherhood and peace. He also prayed for peace and normalcy in the State
