Naeem directs for starting evening classes on experimental basis

JAMMU, Apr 21: Minister for Education Naeem Akthar today conducted surprise inspection of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Bazar  Qasaban in Upper Gujjar Nagar, here today and took stock of the  functioning of the institution .
The Minister inspected various class rooms and interacted with the students. He directed   Principal to rationalize  the student staff ratio to  provide maximum benefit to the students and asked to ensure that there are maximum  50 students in one section. He also directed for starting  evening classes in the school on experimental basis from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily to facilitate the students.
Mr Akhtar asked for providing adequate facilities to the students and directed the concerned to maintain  inspection register and  other records properly.
Interacting with the staff, the Minister stressed upon them to imbibe moral values in the students, adding that   in the modern era, when the world has squeezed as a global village, the students have to face tremendous challenges and teachers have to take up this responsibility to nurture and prepare their  students in such a way that they achieve success and become an asset to the society and nation .
The Principal apprised the Minister that for 410 students enrolled in the School there are 14 Lecturers, 16 Teachers and 6 non teaching staff. He was also informed that 3 schools have also been merged with this Higher Secondary School to provide better facilities to the students.
Member Parliament Fayaz Ahmad Mir and Chief Education Officer, Jammu accompanied the Minister during the visit.
