JAMMU, Apr 8: Jagat Prakash Nadda, BJP national president, along with national general secretary (Org.), B.L. Santhosh interacted with senior party leaders from Union Territory (UT) of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) and discussed various relief measures undertaken by party leaders amid Corona Virus Lockdown in J&K with them.
J&K BJP president, Ravinder Raina and general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, along with party general secretaries, Sunil Sharma (former Minister), Vibodh Gupta (former MLC) and Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal (former Minister) presented complete account of relief measures to the national leaders through video conferencing held at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
BJP national president, JP Nadda, hailed the sincere efforts shown by party activists amid Corona Lockdown to help the masses. He said that this is the greatest service to the mankind we can offer in this hour of crisis, when any needy individual is provided timely assistance by any kind of relief measure.
Nadda, discussed all the relief measures being undertaken by party leaders in the J&K UT and prompted the senior J&K BJP leaders to present a report on various measures taken till date to help the needy local as well migratory population. He also asked the BJP leaders to promote the use of face masks and aid in ensuring all other mandatory guidelines to prevent the spread of Covid 19 infection.
The BJP president said that the Government has launched a mobile app named Arogya Setu to combat the Corona Virus. This will enable people to assess the risk of catching corona infection. “We should download it in our respective smartphones and inspire others to do the same”, he added.
Ravinder Raina and Ashok Kaul apprised the national president that in J&K UT, BJP is undertaking relief activities in 27 districts covering all 288 Mandals. They told that near about 10 thousands food packets are being distributed daily, while more than one lakh total food packets have been already distributed till date. They said that more than three lakh ration kits and 20 thousands face masks have been distributed in J&K by around 42 hundreds party activists. They also apprised national leaders that around 7300 persons have donated to PM Cares Fund in J&K.
