JAMMU, July 13: The sanction letter for the fund assistance of Rs 45 lakhs was handed over by CGM NABARD Rakesh Kumar Srivastava to Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank Chairman Janak Raj Angural here today.
General Manager JKGB DK Bali and General Manager NABARD Surender Singh were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Chairman JKGB warmly thanked CGM and GM NABARD for their continuous support to bank and also thanked DGM NABARD Rahul Shashni who is also Director on Board of the Bank for his support to bank in achieving new milestones.
Under the Fund Assistance Schemes of NABARD, it provides fund assistance for various schemes for financial inclusion. The NABARD Fund Assistance involves more thrust on backward districts that are constrained by various physical, economic and sociological characteristics, now termed as Special Focus Districts (SFDs).
To achieve the goals of this strategy, Bank needs to adopt a scientific process for identification of area, achieve the desired progress and deploy the Mobile Demonstration Van in the stipulated period of time. NABARD shall provide fund assistance for 3 (three) Demo Vans to be deployed in three separate districts.
The demonstration vans shall be equipped with ATM Cash Dispenser, Micro-ATM, LED Panel Display displaying therein the Digital Banking Products and Deposit-Advances Schemes of the Bank.
The deployment of demonstration vans shall leverage the customer base of the Bank and shall definitely boost the morale of its customers, as they shall withdraw/deposit cash through the cash dispenser and transfer funds/deposit/withdraw cash through the Micro-ATM in a hassle free manner.
