REASI, Oct 16: Free medical cum awareness camp was organized by Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Reasi under the supervision of ARTO Rajesh Gupta at Bus Stand, Pouni.
A large number of drivers and cleaners participated and benefitted from the camp. The main objective of holding the camp was to provide medical facility to drivers and cleaners at their door step. They were also given tips about safe driving and precautions to be adopted while driving.
The camp was inaugurated by Tehsildar Munshi Ram. Rashpal Singh-BMO Pouni, Vikas Shrivats-MVD Inspector, members of PRI, large number of local people were also present on the occasion.
An awareness program under SVEEP was also held for drivers and cleaners on this occasion. Voting is a right provided to every citizen, and people should use this right, said ARTO Rajesh Gupta while addressing the gathering.
Meanwhile, at Government Higher Secondary School Pouni, MVD organized an awareness camp for students regarding “Road Safety”. The students were told about safety rules and regulations through the use of audio-visual aids, interaction through quizzes and live demonstration.
Bansi Lal-Principal of the school and staff members were also present on the occasion. Narinder Kumar-BLO on this occasion spoke on the importance of vote and administered oath to the students and staff to exercise their vote.
