MVD Jammu recovers Rs 1.02 lakh fine from violators

JAMMU, Dec 8: A team of Motor Vehicles Department headed by RTO Jammu Pankaj Bhagotra today laid special nakas at different locations of Jammu District to check violations and visible offences.
The enforcement drive was started early morning and nearly 70 vehicles, which included Buses, Tippers and School Buses were checked for various offences viz. route permit violations, overloading, over speeding, without seat belt and without SLD, out of which 22 vehicles were challaned/Compounded.
An amount of Rs. 1.02 lakh was recovered as fine on the spot.
The enforcement team comprising Tara Mani Sharma, ARTO (Flying Squad), Motor Vehicles Inspectors Rajeev Kundal, Anupam Gandotra and Ranjeev Bhasin laid naka at Kunjwani, Kaluchak in Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.
