DODA, Mar 4: ARTO Doda, Er Kuldeep Singh and his team consisting of MVI Jasbir Singh, and others conducted intensive checking in Thathri and Phagsoo tehsils of sub division Thathri with the active cooperation of District Police.
During the checking, more than 100 vehicles were checked for required documents and observance of traffic rules. The drive was carried out on receiving complaints from local passengers for overloading and overcharging and plying of vehicles without proper documentation.
The team laid Nakas, seized 6 vehicles, and challaned 12 vehicles for violation of various traffic rules.
The ARTO said that such drives would continue to keep check on violators and to prevent accidents caused by overloading and drunkard driving and damage to the public Roads and National Highways. He further impressed upon all operators to adhere to traffic rules and avoid conducting overloading.
