JAMMU, Jan 13: Observing Road Safety Week, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) here today under the supervision of RTO Jammu, Pankaj Bagotra is organising a series of awareness programmes for drivers and general public.
In one such programme today a team of RTO Jammu comprising Pawan Sharma, ARTO BOI (G); Taramani Sharma ARTO (FS); Mohd Saleem ARTO (HQ) and Rajeev Kundal, MVI distributed pamphlets and made the drives and general public aware about various road safety measures.
The Team addressed drivers, transporters and general public about road safety and appealed to them to follow traffic rules and regulations while driving to avoid untoward incidents and to ensure safety of the passengers as well as road users.
Pawan Sharma ARTO (G) said the purpose of the programme was to inculcate the importance of road safety in our day-to-day life to ensure personal safety as well as safety of others.
He shared the schedule of activities to be conducted during the road safety week and elaborated in brief all the necessary parameters of road safety and the traffic rules and regulations to be followed.
