Mustafa Kamaal flays total silence by BJP over deaths

JAMMU, Aug 23: Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal, Additional General Secretary  J&K National Conference, has  expressed dismay and anguish at the total silence of the BJP over the loss of life in the State at the hands of the security forces since last six weeks despite sharing Power with the PDP in the State.
Reminding them, Dr Kamaal said despite the communal frenzy at the time of partition in which J&K saw brutal massacre of around half a million men, women and children in Jammu region, National Conference under the dynamic leader Sher-i-Kashmir late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah as first Prime Minister after 1947, saw to it that retaliation is prevented being a Muslim majority State with  80% Muslim population in un- divided J&K.
On the contrary, minority Pandit community in Kashmir was saved from even a minor injury by the almost 100% Muslim population of the Valley.
He said without rancour or ill will Sheikh Sahab took up the task of building the State for which precious little was done in the twenty two years since 1953 anmd accomplished various projects which were visible on the ground even today from one corner of the State to the  second corner in every strata of life.
The  National Conference Post Sheikh Sahab ie 1983- 84, 1984-86 , 1987-1990 , 1996-2002, 2008-2014 also contributed to the development of J&K in a big way. The present ruling Coalition in comparison has nothing worthwhile to its credit except bragging blissfully oblivious of the agony and pain of the people brought about by their total inertia, assured prescription for human disaster.
