The tragic murder of Lt. Ummer Fayaz is the most heinous act ever committed by the terrorists. Words fail to condemn this barbarity by those fighting in the name of jihad.
First of all our security agencies couldn’t ensure security for this brave Kashmiri boy despite knowing, he was an eyesore of the fundamentalists. No intention here to comment on the deftness and efficacy of our intelligent agencies but such incidences do prove all is not up to the mark. Our army losing a fine officer so easily is beyond comprehension. Lt. Fayaz was not like any other brave person or soldier rather he was a great patriot who opted to serve in the Indian army under the most adverse circumstances around him.
Though everyone who dies for the country deserves our deep respect but Fayaz case is exceptional one because we all know under what circumstances this Kashmiri boy showed his grit and guts to fight for the country from the front. Now our Govt. must prove to the world that Fayaz’s sacrifice will not go in vain. He deserves a befitting honour for this valour so that other young Kashmiris get inspired and find in Fayaz a guiding star and a path finder for them. Putting forth Fayaz’s murder in the right perspective can go a long way for other young people to get motivated to come out of the morass they or the Governments of the times have landed them in. Fayaz’s parents and kin too deserve an honour by the army and the country. I think this is very important to tell and prove to others especially Kashmiris that how India regards and remembers its real heroes.

The whole nation is in a state of shock and anguish over the recent incidents of attacks by militants and Pakistan army in which earlier a young captain lost his life ,then in an another incident two army personnel after being killed were beheaded by the rival side and now a young Kashmiri army officer abducted and killed by the millitants.How long we will suffer ?Such inhuman incidents are uncivilized and demand great condemnation from all quarters .These incidents need to be highlighted by the international media thus exposing the barbarism perpetrated by Pakistan against India. Such inhuman acts of Pakistan deserve no leniency and there is dire need to impose sanctions against the country under international law. It is the responsibility of state and central agencies to ensure efficient combat infrastructure for our police and army men so that their precious lives could be saved. It is a pity on our part that every day we lose our jawans because of the evil designs of Pakistan and we are in a helpless situation to do anything.The Central Govt. need to take steps immediately to control the Kashmir turmoil and find a possible way out to deal with the enemies of peace.
