JAMMU, Oct 15: Trikuta Nagar police solved a murder case with the arrest of three notorious criminals from Gadigarh area.
A police spokesman said that, on June 26, dead body of Masherwar Matto, son of Kamal Matto of Ram Nagar, district West Champuran, Bihar was recovered from a drain at Railway Station Jammu.
The body was shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and inquest proceeding under Section 174 was initiated by Trikuta Nagar Police Station, he added.
During investigation, police picked up three persons from Gadigarh area for questioning and during interrogation they confessed their involvement in the murder, he said.
The accused have been identified as Vinod Kumar, son of Amar Saha, Suresh Saha, son of Doomi Saha and Ranjay Kumar, son of Naginder Dubey, all residents of Masher Ghaon, he added.
A case under FIR number 218/13 and under Section 302/34 RPC has been registered at Trikuta Nagar Police Station and further investigation into the case is going on.
Police party led by SHO Chanchal Singh made the arrest.
