JAMMU, July 18: A Multilingual Mushaira was organized by Raipur (Chhattisgarh) based organization ‘Dhaga: Vimarsh Ka Manch’ at K L Saigal Hall, here today.
Jang S. Verman, Senior Artist, Columnist on Art & Culture and Poet was the chief guest on the occasion while Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages presided over the function.
Neeru Sharma, senior journalist, S. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, former President Punjabi Lekhak Sabha & writer and S. Bhupinder Singh Raina, novelist & playwright were the special guests on the occasion.
Earlier, Ropinder Raj, Coordinator of the programme presented welcome address.
Multilingual Mushaira was conducted where poets of Dogri, Hindi and Punjabi recited their poetry.
The poets included Balwinder Singh Deep, Swami Antar Nirav, Harjit Singh Uppal, Amar Singh Kuka, Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik and Jang S. Verman (Punjabi), Balkar Singh, Naresh Kumar Khajuria, Kumar Krishen, Anu Attri, Varun Veer, Bhagwati Devi, Bhupinder Singh Raina and Harmeet (Hindi), Rattan Bhardwaj, Neelam Verma, Rekha Thakur, Neelu Thapa, Dheeraj Khanna (Dogri) and Pyasa Anjum and Arsh Sehbai (Urdu).
Speaking on this occasion Dr Arvinder Singh Amn appreciated plays and novels written by Bhupinder Singh Rainaa and hoped that the organization would organize more such events in Jammu from time to time.
Jang S. Verman, S. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik and Neeru Sharma also expressed their views.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Swamy Antar Neerav.
Ropinder Raj presented the vote of thanks.
