SAMBA, Mar 22: On the last day of 3-days Multimedia Exhibition on ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ mounted at Kehli Ground here by Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), J&K Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India, Shamsher Singh Manhas, Former Member of Parliament paid tribute to the freedom fighters in the presence of Neha Jalali, Joint Director, ROB and PIB, MoI&B Government of India, J&K and others.
While addressing the exhibition in conclusion ceremony, Shamsher Singh Manhas said that Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav means elixir of the energy of Independence and stands for the inspiring stories of our freedom fighters, the new age ideas and pledges spirit of Atamnirbharta. He said the utmost purpose of conducting these multimedia exhibitions is to showcase the contribution of freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. He further said that such exhibitions will be instrumental in making younger generations aware about the freedom movement.
Neha Jalali, Joint Director, ROB and PIB, J&K while giving details about the multi-media exhibition said that it is an effort to make youth of J&K especially youth of Jammu aware about the initiatives, aims and objectives of AKAM.
Various exhibits of this multimedia exhibition were designed to enrich the visitors with glorious Independence struggle, contribution of freedom fighters of India and J&K, present day achievements and policies of Government of India through visuals, interactive panels and cultural programmes.
Different sections of the exhibition showcased the contributions of eminent freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chander Bose, Vallabh Bhai Pate and also of the revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh, Chander Shekhar Azad, Khudiram Bose and Prafulla Patel.
A special section had been dedicated to the freedom fighters of Jammu and Kashmir that included Brigadier Rajendra Singh whose contribution will be remembered for ages to come.
The exhibition included display of rare photographs, films screening, interactive information kiosks, selfie corners, quiz and audio-visual consoles on Indian freedom struggle. Empanelled cultural troupes of ROB, J&K presented theme based cultural programs on all days of the exhibition.
