JAMMU, Mar 22: Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers Welfare Association (FMPHWWA) today warned the authorities of launching a massive protest if demands of the Association are not fulfilled.
Addressing a press conference here today, president FMPHWWA Neelam Kumari said FMPHWs have been suffering for the last four months due to non-disbursement of salary. Many of our colleagues are on the verge of starvation due to non-payment of their salary, she added.
“We have represented many times to the higher authorities in democratic way but all seem to be futile because till date nothing concrete has been done to solve our pending issue of our salary head 2211,” Neelam said.
She demanded to solve the salary issues of 2211 head once for all and it should be regularized and disbursed from the UT Government coffer without waiting for Central grant.
“In case, Government failed to settle our salary issues within 15 days, the FMPHWs will be compelled to launch a massive protest/‘Kam Choro Hartal’ with full mighty on April 15,” the FMPHWWA president added.
Others who participated in press conference were Suriya Akthar, Anita Bhagat (vice president), Sapna Gupta (general secretary), Soma Devi and Ramandeep Kour.
