JAMMU, Feb 13: Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners Association (MULBPA) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president BS Jamwal and discussed various issues.
During the meeting, the speakers demanded additional benefit to pensioners, enhancement of medical allowances from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, issuance of senior citizen/ pensioners identity cards by Deputy Commissioner and free medical care.
The speakers criticized the Director Urban Local Bodies for unnecessarily withholding the PPO/ pensionary benefits of Sat Pal Saini, Ex-executive Officer, Local Bodies without any orders of the Government, Court or Vigilance Department.
They urged the Chief Minister to redress their problems at the earliest.
Among others present were JR Sharma, working president, Kartar Singh Lakhanpuria, BD Verma, YS Jamwal, BN Bhatt, Attar Singh, KG Khajuria, etc.
