SUCHETGARH (IB), Feb 13: Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) president and young leader from Kashmir Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today said that peace and goodwill should replace bloodshed and terrorism on both sides of the borders and the ‘dirty hate game’ between India and Pakistan should end now.
While sending message of peace and love to the neighbour- Pakistan on the eve of Valentine Day by releasing colorful baloons and pigeons at the Octroi Post on Indo-Pak border at Suchetgarh in R S Pura sector of Jammu district today, Dr Darakhshan said, “the hate game between India and Pakistan should end now. It has ruined our two generations and we can not afford to transfer this bloody legacy to our new generation. Peace and love should now replace the bloodshed and terrorism on both sides.”
Referring to the recent incident of beheading of an Indian soldier Hem Raj and brutal murder of another jawan by Pakistani troops in Mendhar area of Poonch recently, the SDP leader said such incident should not happen in future.
While paying floral tributes to the portrait of martyr L/Nk Hem Raj during the function, Dr Andrabi said country is safe and secure only due to our forces. The soldiers are guarding our border and also rendering help to the civilians during crisis, heavy snow fall and other natural calamities. A lot of assistance has been provided by the troops under `Sadbhavna’ to the local people in this militancy infested State.
Earlier, Dr Darakhshan along with her few party leaders moved up to `zero line’ along with some BSF men and handed over her message of peace and love to the head of a Pak based NGO, Mohd Iqbal Zadoom. Mr Zadoom, a social noted activists haling from Rawalpindi had come from Sialkote side to receive the message from SDP leader from J&K, who in her message made an appeal to the political leadership and Army top brass in Pakistan to desist from using guns in J&K and change their policy of hatred and conspiracies for the good of the people from J&K specially and on the both sides. J&K has been the prime victim of this hatred and the new era of trust, love and peace must begun.
Senior party leaders Ajay Kumar, Peer Abdul Majid, Gursagar Singh, Deepak Ronotra, Sanjay Manhas, Kamaljeet, Balwinder and Vishal Choudhary and others were also present.
