MULBPA expresses concern over withholding of 7th Pay Commission benefits

JAMMU, May 4: Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners Association Jammu Province (MULBPA) in its meeting today expressed great concern over J&K Bank Authorities for withholding 7th Pay Commission benefits of the Civic Body Pensioners of April 2018 as the J&K Bank has disbursed the same to J&K State Government Pensioners under Government Order No. 222-F of 2018 dated 24-04-2018.
The members said that nothing has been mentioned in the said Govt order to ignore the Civic Body Pensioners from the Pay Commission, so one fails to understand as to under which rules the J&K Bank Authorities have ignored the Civic Body Pensioners.
The members further said that Vide Govt Order No 12-F 2012 dated 18-05-2012, J&K Bank and Finance Department J&K Govt, have agreed to disburse the pension to Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners on 1st day of each month like State Govt Pensioners, however, the situation is contrary to the agreement.
The Association has appealed to the Chairman J&K Bank to review the issue and pass appropriate directions to J&K Bank Managers to disburse the 7th Pay Commission benefits along with old pension at an earliest.
Prominent among others who attended the meeting included BS Jamwal, JR Sharma, YS Jamwal, bd Verma, Jawahar Lla Sharma, KG Khajuria, Tasem Lal Gupta, ML Gupta, Attar Singh, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Indu Bhushan, Daya Singh, Bahu-Ud-Din, Vidhya Bhushan Gupta and Pritam Singh Reen.
