MULBPA discusses release of DA, DR

JAMMU, July 21: Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners Association (MULBPA) here today held a meeting which was chaired by B.S Jamwal, Association president.
Speakers in the meeting discussed the issues of release of Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) and frozen three DA instalments (half yearly) from January 1, 2020 to ending June 2021.
They also demanded release of medical allowance at par with their counterparts in Union Government.
The Association members said that prices of petrol, cooking gas etc have increased enormously at present so the Government should release DA/DR accordingly.
They also said that Government should revisit its decision on release of DA/DR at the earliest.
The meeting was attended by B.D Verma, Attar Singh, Y.S Jamwal, Jawahar Lal Sharma, Tarsem Lal, Shiv Kumar Sharma, M.L Gupta, R.K Gupta, C.L Koul, M.L Pandita, D.S Charak, Vijay Gupta, Harcharan Singh, Bahu-ud-Din, J.R Sharma and others.
