MENDHAR, June 16: The Mughal road remained closed for vehicular traffic since yesterday evening to 5pm today due to shooting stones and landslides in the Mansar area between Poshiana and Peer Ki Gali.
According to reports the road was opened at 5pm today for vehicular traffic. The SHO Surankote, DySP Probationer, Bashir Ahmed and DySP Surankote, Javed Ahmed Mir said that the problem has surfaced for last three to four days due to shooting stones and landsliding on the road.
The Executive Engineer Mughal road Abdul Gani Jagal said that the road was closed because of landslides however, construction work is going on.
He said in view of the Mughal Road car rally scheduled for June 28 the Transport Commissioner has been intimated that permission be given to vehicles for plying over Mughal road to cross via Peer Ki Gali from 6 am to 9 pm only.
