Mufti’s peace initiative fetching dividends: Hamid Choudhary

JAMMU, Dec 16: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and member J&K State Advisory Board for Gujjars and Bakerwals, Abdul Hamid Choudhary today said that peace initiatives of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed including a meaningful dialogue and healing touch policy have all started fetching dividends in the shape of developing relations with neighbouring country, Pakistan. It is towards this end that both India and Pakistan are getting engaged to dawn peace in the entire sub-continent.
Choudhary Hamid said it is because of Mufti Sayeed’s continued persuasion that both nations are willing to talk and turn the course of history. These developments if sustained would bring an end to terrorism, build peaceful relations, advance cooperation and promote stability and prosperity in our region thereby giving people ample opportunities of peace and prosperity who until now were living under the shadow of gun.
Unlike previous regimes, PDP and BJP alliance he added was working hard towards building Jammu and Kashmir. The alliance he added was faced with many challenges but consistent efforts are going to fetch dividends in days to come and put J&K State on map of development, peace and prosperity.
