PDP patron and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed tonight had a prolonged two and half hours dinner meeting with Governor NN Vohra at Raj Bhawan.
Official sources said Mufti Sayeed, whose PDP has emerged single largest party in hung Assembly with 28 seats, went to the Raj Bhawan at 7.40 pm and had detailed discussions and political stalemate and dinner with Vohra. He returned from the Raj Bhawan at 10.15 pm.
There was no official word either from the Raj Bhawan or from the PDP on what transpired between the Governor and the Mufti during about two and half hours long meeting but according to sources they discussed the political and security situation in the State and formation of new Government in Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of fractured verdict given by the electorates after the Assembly elections.
PDP had recently rejected the NC’s offer to support the PDP in formation of Government in the State. PDP and BJP were also in talks with each other over new Government.
