JAMMU, Feb 9: A delegation of Migrant Teachers Welfare Association (MTWA) led by its president Ramesh Raina called on Officer on Special Duty to Chief Minster and apprised him of the problems confronting Kashmiri migrants.
The demands put forth by the delegation included adjustment of pending teachers promoted as masters vide Govt Order No. 610 DSEK of 2014 & 197 of 6.2.2014 in Camp Schools of Jammu, issuance of RBA Category Certificates to migrants belonging to specified reserved areas from Kashmir, issuance of new ration cards in favour of migrant employees and pensioners, shifting of Camp HSS Satwari to migrant inhabited area of Lower Barnai, adjustment of Subject Specialized Masters in Camp School of Jammu upon their promotion as Lecturers.
The OSD gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation of solving the issue of adjustment of promote masters and issuance of RBA Category Certificates after discussing the matter with concerned authorities.
Regarding the issuance of ration and ration cards, the officer informed the delegation that the matter will be resolved on priority.
Prominent among others present in the delegation were Balji Marhata, General Secretary; Sushil Kumar Razdan, Senior Executive Member; Pankaj Koul, Executive Member; Shakula Bhat, Sunita Bhat, Monika Raina and Daizy Ambardar.
