MSME organizes workshop on ‘Vendor Development Prog’

JAMMU, Mar 1: Taking a lead, MSME in collaboration with JKRLM, ICAI J&K Chapter inaugurated a two-day workshop on ,”Vendor Development Program “, to spread the awareness about various government initiatives and schemes under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.
G Velladurai, Jt Director MSME DFO J&K said MSME sector has emerged as a highly vibrant of the Indian economy. It not only play crucial role in providing large employment opportunities at comparatively lower capital cost than large industries, but also help in industrialization of rural and backward areas, thereby, reducing regional imbalances, assuring more equitable distribution of national income and wealth.
Dr Navneet Kour, founder Chairperson NGO SUPPORT and Creative Self Employed Entrepreneurs Cooperative Ltd briefed on her expertise working at the grass root level in different districts for promoting MSME schemes for spreading awareness among youth and women led SHGs, enterprises and FPO’s. She also spoke on cluster schemes, PMEGP , VISHKARMA, PMS schemes etc.
Indu Kanwal Chib, MD JKRLM shared her experience on working with the SHGs , FPOs under Umeed initiative of J&K Govt. She presented her bottlenecks and challenges faced by the beneficiaries in various sectors and discussed tourism sector scheme for the promotion of Stay Homes in the rural belt of J&K. The main objective to attract tourists to most rural areas and pristine countryside to the young travellers so that women led stay homes can generate revenue for their sustainability and growth.
Ruchitha Gupta, Chairperson FICCI FLO J&K and Ladakh Chapter spoke on women empowerment and its role in achieving India’s GDP target for 2030. A special technical session on registration of MSME Units on Udyam portal and GEM portal was conducted by business facilitator Sh Javed Ahmed Sheikh.
Anil Sharma, DGM J&K SIDBI appraised on the funding & loan schemes available for MSME unit holders while Devinder Tyagi , Asst Director MSME gave a detailed presentation on initiatives and schemes available for the masses of J&K.
CA Vineet Kohli Chairperson ICAI J&K & CA Sourav Pragal Vice Chairman ICAI offered their support on how they could help the JKRLM in imparting practical trainings to SHGs for better financial management of their small Udyam enterprises.
