JAMMU, Mar 1: With a motive to provide better health care facilities for the locals of area, a free medical camp organized by NHPC, Sawalkote Hydroelectric Project under CSR activity was held here today.
A team of doctors and paramedical staff were deputed on the instructions of CMO, Ramban for the camp.
The camp was inaugurated by H. Bulchandani, Head of Sawalkote HE Project, NHPC Ltd., in presence of senior officials and villagers.
Doctors from NHPC, comprising Dr. R.S. Rathi, CMO, Dr. Karam Vir Hans, DCMO and medical team from Govt. Medical Division, Batote, Ramban, including Dr. Puneet Singh, Medical Officer; Dr. Rajesh Kotwal, Medical Officer and other paramedical staff of NHPC and Govt. Medical Division, Batote, Ramban examined villagers in the camp.
Despite the inclement weather condition, about 170 local male and female residents from the far flung hilly areas participated in the camp and availed medical consultations and medicines, free of cost.
While focusing on seasonal diseases, doctors and their team examined Blood Pressure, Pulse etc and provided necessary health consultations, medicines, masks etc free of cost.
Sawalkote HE Project (1856MW) is the largest hydropower project in J&K being developed by NHPC.
