JAMMU, Aug 6: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) supporters here today staged a protest demonstration against Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for harassing the traders by lifting their goods.
The protest was led by MSJK leader, Sunil Dimple who took a dig at the authorities concerned for the bad condition of Jammu city roads with damaged blacktopping on flyovers.
He claimed that street lights are not functioning and worst sanitation conditions are prevailing in Jammu city.
Dimple asked JMC authorities to stop harassing the traders during this festival season and urged upon the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to direct JMC authorities to stop harassing traders by lifting their goods.
He also claimed that all the roads in Jammu city have been damaged by ERA at Sarwal, Rehari, Bakshi Nagar, Top Sherkhania, Patoli, Talab Tillo, Shakti Nagar, Krishna Nagar, Resham Ghar and no blacktopping was done there by PWD R&B.
Prominent among those present in the protest were Manjeet Anand, Rakesh Bamba, Sachin Soi, Chuni Lal Bhat, Sat Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Shiv Kumar, Ashok Khanna, Swarn Lal Verma, Narender Kumar and many others.
