JAMMU, Aug 22: The NC leaders of Jammu Province these days are talking about the checking of State Subject Certificate of outsiders like Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. This is quite paradoxical because the certificates have been issued when NC and Congress were in power in the State. The members of Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Ram Singh Chouhan, Gurtaj Singh, Ram Pal Khajuria and Madan Gopal, have totally disagreed with the views of NC leaders of Jammu Division that Art. 35A is a boon for the people of the State especially for the Dogras. “We disagree with NC leaders of Jammu region completely as only the few selected people of Kashmir and especially the politicians of Kashmir are being benefitted. In Civil Secretariat there are 80% (only few selected) Kashmiri employees, 10% Scheduled caste people and hardly 10% from others of Jammu & Ladakh regions and this all has happened during the last 65 years of Congress and NC rule in the State. All discriminations against Jammu & Ladakh regions have been done during the rule of NC and Congress. In fact the political leaders of Jammu region whether from NC, Congress, PDP, NPP and BJP are concerned more about their own chairs rather than the general benefit of the common masses among the Dogras. They simply want to interpret Art. 370 or 35A according to their own suitability or to please the Kashmiri leaders’’.
The members of Movement while reacting to the recent/past statements of politicians that Kashmiri youth were picking up guns against India to fight for their rights/present Govt. has no policy on Kashmir, Pak: etc, wanted to know what was their contribution to solve the vexed problem during their tenure. They further wondered as to how such leaders and political parties shall continue to throw dust in the eyes of common man and grind their own axe for furthering their political interests, the release added.
The release said that these leaders while in power vehemently remain busy in promoting that J&K is integral part of India & waste no time in harping that Kashmir problem needs to be solved politically once they remain out of power. Such persons are not worth to be considered but to be rejected and thrown out of power, it added.
The poor Kashmiris’ have always been exploited by these selfish Kashmiri politicians by dirty techniques of showing Pakistani salt and green cloth to win the election. This is the reason of Kashmiri politicians’ double speak, who speak different languages in Kashmir and out of Kashmir; when they are in power and out of power, the statement added.
They said that time has now come when all these leaders will have to reap what they have sown and the day will not be far when people will teach them a lesson.
