JAMMU, Jan 21: Motor Parts Dealers Association Jammu (MPDA) on Tuesday criticised the nonchalant attitude of the Government towards Transport Nagar’s development in its review meeting, held under the chairmanship of President, Rajinder P Kakkar.
During the meeting, the members of the association alleged that the Government was not serious about to maintenance of Transport Nagar, Narwal Jammu. However, we repeatedly approached almost all department concerned like JDA, JMC, PHE, UEED and even PDD but nothing has been done so far.
They alleged time and again, we fixed the meeting with VC Jammu Development Authority and he told us that he had submitted a proposal of Rs 22 crores to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for the overall developments of the Transport Nagar but given the transfer of VC, the proposal again hanged in balance.
Now, members of MPDA urged the Lt Governor to visit in Transport Nagar along with officials of all department concerned and issue time bound direction for the overall development of the said area.
Other members who presented in the review meeting were SS Bhau, Satish Kumar, Raj Pal Verma, Jaswinder Singh, Balbir Singh , Sham Parshad, Raman Gupta and Sanjay Dogra.
