JAMMU, Jan 21: Janipur police arrested a chain snatcher.
As per police sources, a chain snatching incident took place in Paloura area and accordingly a case under FIR Number 136/19 under section 382 IPC was registered at Janipur Police Station.
During the course of investigation, a team from Janipur Police Station led by SHO Inspector Naresh Sharma conducted series of raids and finally nabbed the chain snatcher along with a stolen vehicle of which a case under FIR Number 9/2020 under section 379 IPC stands registered with Police Station Janipur.
The accused has been identified as Ripu Daman Singh, son of Shubh Deep Singh, a resident of Mubarak Mandi District Jammu.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
