MP reviews progress under SAGY, MPLADS

JAMMU, Apr 21: Transparency and accountability should be maintained at all levels of governance for visible impact on the ground. This was stated by Member Parliament Jammu-Poonch constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma today while chairing a meeting with senior functionaries of various departments to review progress of various development works under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) of village Mathwar and Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) here today.
MLC Vikram Randhawa, Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu Suriya Jabeen, CPO Jammu G. L. Sharma, ACD Jammu M. Latifi Tasir, BDOs, Engineers of PHE, PDD, Jammu Municipal Corporation and other senior officers of various departments attended the meeting.
Jugal Kishore had a comprehensive review of development works under the scheme with all the departments.  He exhorted upon the officers to work with utmost zeal and dedication to ensure effective implementation of SAGY.
He stressed the need for creating awareness among the people about the Government schemes which mainly include Saubhagya – Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana, Khelo India Scheme, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Ladli Beti besides others.
Jugal Kishore reviewed the progress of various centrally sponsored schemes like MGNREGA, RMSA, PMGSY, NSAP, NRLM, PMUJ being implemented in village Mathwar. He asked to organize  awareness camps at regular interval in Mathwar for maximum enrolment under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana.
The meeting also reviewed the physical and financial achievements under different departments like Rural Development, Health, Education, PWD, PHE and other departments under the scheme.
Later, the Member Parliament reviewed the progress of different departments under MPLADS. He stressed for optimally utilizing the funds for providing better facilities to the people.
