JAMMU, Dec 6: Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament from Jammu-Reasi Parliamentary Constituency, inaugurated Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025 at Khel Gaon, Nagrota, here today kicking off a vibrant celebration of sports and youth participation in the region.
The event featured energetic competitions in Volleyball, Kabaddi and Tug of War, with players from various parts of District Jammu displaying talent, determination, and competitive spirit in front of an encouraging audience.
Addressing the participants, Sharma lauded the athletes for their dedication and highlighted the role of sports in building discipline, teamwork and character. He urged the youth to participate actively, embrace true sportsmanship and use such platforms to enhance physical fitness and leadership skills.
Sharma also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his vision in empowering youth through sports. He noted that initiatives like the Sansad Khel Mahotsav reflect the PM’s focus on nurturing a strong sporting culture, providing opportunities for young talent from villages and towns to shine on national and international stages.
The event concluded with cheers, camaraderie, and motivation among participants. Sukhdev Sharma, DYSS officer, along with senior BJP leaders including Dawarka Sharma, Girdhari Lal, Heem Raj, Harish Sharma, Mandal President Sanjay, Shiv, Subash, Ram Lal and others were present to encourage the young athletes. The festival continues over the coming days, fostering sportsmanship and inspiring youth engagement across Jammu district.
