MP flags off Chamunda Devi Yatra

JAMMU, July 13: MP Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas here today flagged off the 16th Chhari Mubarak Yatra of Mata Chamunda Devi Ji.
The pilgrimage started from Rameshwar Mandir, Pacca Talab, Bahu Fort and proceeded for Sarvadhar, Pogal Paristan, Ramban.
A large number of Yatris from Jammu participated in the pilgrimage while many from Ramban, Doda and Bhaderwah are expected to accompany it en-route for the holy Darshan of Mata Chamunda Ji.
Speaking on the occasion, the MP said: “Such type of pilgrimages promote the message of brotherhood and also develop peace between peoples from different sections irrespective of their religions.”
The organisers appealed to the authorities concerned to ensure proper supply of all the necessities like electricity, drinking water, shelter etc to the pilgrims.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Rajeev Charak, President Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC); Baldev Raj Nagotra, Chairman; Vice Presidents-Hardesh Khokher, Krishan Lal Sharma and Anuradha Charak; Manoj Kumar, Vinod Shavotra, Yash Nagotra, Sanju Kumar, Vikram Singh Charak, Sushil Singh Charak, Raghunandan Singh Charak, Rajinder Singh Charak, Rohit Singh, Rakesh Kumar Bhagat, Darshan Kumar, Arjun Gandhi, Sunny Singh and Mani Ram Lakhotra.
