KATHUA, Sept 7: Two motorcycle borne youth snatched ear rings of a woman in Patel Nagar area of Kathua town this evening.
The lady identified as Bimla Devi, wife of Bharat Singh of Patel Nagar was standing outside her house this evening when suddenly two motorcycle borne youth approached near her and forcibly snatched her two ear rings and fled towards the National Highway.
The lady raised an alarm and people gathered but the youth had fled by that time.
Later she registered a compliant at PS Kathua and Police has taken the cognizance of the matter.
The people also protested against the act and alleged that the failure of police patrolling has been the main cause of increasing acts of snatchings from the area.
