UDHAMPUR, Oct 24: A motorcyclist and his pillion rider were killed when their bike rammed into a stranded truck, which was parked on the roadside at Sangoor Udhampur.
The deceased were identified as Nishant Sharma (22), son of Sham Sunder Sharma of Sangoor, near Shiv Palace, Udhampur and Vishal Sagar (21), son of Vidya Sagar of Karan Nagar Udhampur.
The accident took place around 11.30 pm last night when the Motorcycle, bearing registration number JK14F-0465, rammed into rear side of the stranded truck . The motorcyclist as well as his pillion rider reportedly died on the spot. Police shifted the dead bodies to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem.
After completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem this morning, the dead bodies were handed over to the family members for the last rites.
