UDHAMPUR, Feb 12: A road mishap claimed lives of two youth as a motorcyclist and pillion rider died when their motorcycle met with an accident at Salora near Tikri.
The deceased were identified as Rickey (21), son of Balwant Raj, resident of Ward number 07, Garian Talab Udhampur and Sachin Kumar (22), son of Ashok Kumar of Ward No.07, near Forest Office Udhampur.
The accident took place around 3 am today when the Motorcycle, bearing Registration Number JK14J -8839, which was on way from Udhampur to Jammu, apparently skidded off the road at Salora near Tikri, in Udhampur.
Locals and Tikri Police shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared both of them as brought dead.
Rehmbal Police, after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, handed over the dead bodies to family members of the deceased.
