JAMMU, Nov 2: Akhnoor police nabbed a motorcyclist along with illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Akhnoor police station laid a naka at Khuga Morh and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AV-4483.
During checking, police recovered 40 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the motorcyclist, who has been identified as Deepak Kumar Sharma, son of Madan Lal of Mundh, Tehsil Mera Mandrain.
The accused was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his village for selling among the people for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 156/16 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pushpinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Gurvinder Pal Singh and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
