MLA asks admn to reach out to shelling hit people

MENDHAR, Nov 2: In view of  on going  mortar shelling on civilian population in several villages of Mendhar, MLA Javed Ahmed Rana today asked the District and Sub Divisional Administration to reach out to the people affected people for the immediate support.
The MLA passed on  instructions for immediate redressal of problems which are being faced by public  in view of situation in villages,  south of  Mendhar Nallah, in a meeting of district and sub divisional officers here today.
SDM, Mendhar, Thakur Sher Singh, SDPO, Shahid Nahim Choudhary, Tehsildar Mendhar, Shehzad Khan, XEn PHE, Qayoom Choudhary besides senior officers of Health, PWD, RDD, PDD, CA&PD attended the meeting.
Mr Rana impressed upon the officers to reach out to the people in affected areas, especially in areas affected by the LoC crossfire that has generated a humanitarian crisis.
The officers of  Health and CA&PD were particularly instructed for putting to effective and efficient use the resources at their disposal. The officers of PHE, PDD etc were also directed for adequate supply of water and electricity. Besides, Mr Rana also reviewed various development schemes being implemented in Mendhar Sub Division.
The MLA who paid visit to the affected areas, pleaded for de-escalation of tension on LoC again and urged upon the leadership of both the countries to arrive at some sort of truce to de-escalate the hostile situation prevailing in the region.
“The senseless violence is the common enemy of the people in South Asia as the scourge of bloodshed has already devoured our lives over the years”, he reasoned while calling for sustained dialogue to resolve all issues.
