JAMMU, July 20: Jourian police nabbed a motorcyclist and recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
A police spokesman said that, police team from police post Jourian laid a naka at Taroti and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BK-6971.
During checking, police recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor and nabbed the motorcyclist on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Naseeb Singh, son of Suraj Singh of Dangar Khour.
A case under FIR number 127/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Akhnoor police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge police post Jourian SI Sukhvir Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pushpinder Singh, SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
