UDHAMPUR, Dec 17: A motorcyclist died and his pillion rider sustained critical injuries when their bike was hit by Tanker on the National Highway, near Battal-Ballian, here today.
The motor cycle, bearing registration number JK13-C -7788, was on its way from Udhampur when it collided with a tanker coming from opposite direction. One youth died on the spot and his identity was established as Varinder Kumar Singh, son of Jarnail Singh of Battal Ballian.
The injured, identified as Neena (27) son of Shafi, resident of Battal Ballian, was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition.
