Motor Garages Drivers, Workers Union warns token strike

JAMMU, July 21: State Motor Garages Drivers and Workers Union has warned the authorities to go on token strike (Chaka Jam) for three hours on July 25 in case their demands were not conceded by them.
The Union in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its president, Prabhjeet Singh said that the workers are facing harassment through the hands of the Director.
They said in a meeting recently the Union has demanded a high level probe into the allegations leveled by it against the concerned officer and made an appeal to Government to intervene and put the Department back on rails.
The meeting said that despite making repeated pleas to the Government to hold an impartial probe into the matter nothing was done in this regard till date forcing the Union to give a call for token strike of three hours on July 25.
