Mother’s Day celebrated

JAMMU, May 12: Mother’s Day was celebrated across Jammu province with pomp and show.
Mother’s Day was observed by Nature-Human Centric Peoples Movement at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Higher Secondary School, Kunjwani.  On the occasion, the speakers threw light on the importance of the day. Students of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Higher Secondary School and RK Higher Secondary School, Bishnah presented various cultural items.
Aadarsh Bhartiya Samaj celebrated Mother’s Day at Bhour camp. Members displayed the banners and flex highlighting the importance of mothers in today’s scenario. The oldest lady of the area Devki Devi was honoured by the Samaj.
Gandhi Global Family celebrated Mother’s Day at Lawrence Public School. SP Varma while addressing volunteers of GGF explained that Mother’s Day is celebrated annually through out the World which emphasizes the fundamental role of mothers as provider of love and care to her children, life partner and elders in the family.
