REASI, June 13: A Scooty riding woman was killed and her minor daughter sustained injuries when their two-wheeler was hit by a minibus on Reasi-Katra road, here this morning.
The accident took place when Scooty JK20B- 0762 was hit by Minibus JK02BI 8049 near Kala Morh, Simbal Choa area on Reasi – Katra road.
The deceased woman was identified as Rita Devi, age 34 years, wife of Mangal Singh, resident of Katra. She reportedly died on the spot while her daughter Meenakshi Devi, age 8 years, sustained injuries in the accident.
The duo was shifted to DH Reasi where doctors declared the woman as brought dead.
Meanwhile, in another road mishap, a pillion rider was seriously injured when a Dumper bearing registration number JK11D- 4217 hit a bike JK20B- 0254 near Bidda Morh area on Jyotipuram – Arnas road.
The injured was identified as Surjeet Singh (27), son of Balwant Singh, resident of Surandi Kanthan, tehsil Arnas district Reasi. He was shifted to District Hospital Reasi for first aid and then referred to GMC Jammu for further treatment.
