Most freedom fighters got inspiration from Swami Dayanand: Yog Guru

JAMMU, Feb 12: On 200th Jayanti of Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji, founder of Arya Samaj, Baba Ramdev of Patanjali Yog Peeth has said that numerous freedom fighters including Mahatama Gandhi, Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Veer Savarkar, Lala Lajpat Rai, Swami Shradhanand and others got inspiration from Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji.
The Yog Guru also said that Swami Dayanand Saraswati played an important role in making Hindi as national language.
“He also worked hard so that women, low caste peoples and other deprived sections of the society may get their due rights and stressed on education of women,” he continued.
Yog Guru Ramdev further said that Swami Dayanand Saraswati helped the nation to get rid of superstitious culture, caste system and other false rituals.
“Swami Dayanand Saraswati declared that Sanatan Dharam is not only Rashtra Dharam but also Yug Dharam,” Ramdev maintained adding: “Dayanand Saraswati gave another lease of life to the culture of Gurukul system of education and liberated the country from financial, medicinal, religious and cultural slavery.”
The Yog Guru also said that it was Swami Dayanand Saraswati who stressed on Vedas saying that ultimate truth of the universe is contained in these books.
Baba Ramdev said that on 200th Jayanti of Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji, we should resolve to make India a nation of his dreams with equality in society.
