JAMMU, Aug 23: A Janta Darbar was organized by Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology Pawan Gupta, in which large number of the people especially from rural areas took part and projected their demands.
The people of Rrehday-da-Kot of Malard area led by Pawan Sharma, Ex-Sarpanch highlighted several problems of their area including worst condition of road from Moholla Rrehday-da-Kot to High School Malard, irregular supply of electricity and drinking water and poor health services.
The people of Sanyote village led by Naib Sarpanch Gulam Mohammad also apprised the Minister about their problems including irregular power supply. They demanded up-gradation of electric transformer for the smooth supply of electricity.
The residents of Kotli Balla and Koldi demanded a public Saraye in historic and ancient Nursingh Ji Temple. People of Badali demanded electric poles in Gopal Ghat Moholla for the smooth supply of electricity.
Raj Kumar Bucha, Jivan Sharma, Nak Ram, Om Parkash, Joginder Kumar, Kaka Ram, Madan Lal, Ajay Singh, Pooja Devi, Darshna Devi, Kamlesh and Chanchla Devi also highlighted the problems of their respective areas.
While addressing the people, the Minister disclosed that to mitigate the sufferings of Udhampur Assembly Constituency people, several developmental projects have been initiated. He stated that regarding power supply in rural areas, a project has been already initiated by the department on his directions.
He disclosed that the need of hour is to set basic infrastructure in order.
