Morocco nabs Malian citizen with 1.2 kg of cocaine in stomach

RABAT, Jan 29: Moroccan police seized 75 capsules filled with 1.27 kg of cocaine inside the stomach of a Malian national at Morocco’s Casablanca Airport, official news agency MAP reported Tuesday.
The suspect, 47, was arrested on Jan. 24 by the security services upon his arrival on a flight from Conakry, Guinea, for his alleged involvement in a cocaine trafficking case, MAP quoted a source from the Moroccan police as saying.

The banned substance was extracted from the suspect’s stomach at Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca, where he was under medical surveillance for a couple of days. The suspect was remanded in police custody to complete the investigation.
