More organizations support Jammu bandh on Sept 22

JAMMU, Sept 20: More parties have extended their support to September 22 Jammu bandh call given by Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI).
Those who supported the bandh call included National Conference (NC), Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Apni Party (AP) Communist Party of India (CPI) , Federation of Retailers Association Jammu, Dogra Front and Shiv Sena, J&K, All J&K Banquet Halls Association and Jammu Muslim Front (JMF).
National Conference today announced its support to the Jammu Bandh on September 22, called by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu against anti-trade and commerce moves of the administration.
“NC has all along stood for safeguarding the interests of Jammu and Kashmir and will continue so with a sense of commitment”, National Conference spokesperson said in a statement issued from Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan while extending full solidarity with the trade, commerce and industry.
JKNPP while extending full support to small and medium shopkeepers criticised the local and national leadership of BJP and the Union Government for initiating all such economic activities which break the back bone of Jammu.
The party held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president, Prof Bhim Singh said entire Jammu province will protest against the Government decision to open 100 Reliance stores to break back bone of poor business class of Dogras.
AAP while supporting the bandh call on September 22 criticised the anti traders, anti farmers, anti poor, and anti workers laws of J&K Government.
Amit Kapoor , president Jammu Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency of the party said that the present Government is working to make 95 percent poor and five percent rich.
Apni Party, provincial president , Jammu, Manjit Singh while extending full support to Jammu bandh call said that the Jammu business community which has suffered a lot in last three years will be hit a lot by brining 100 Reliance outlets in Jammu.
Communist Party of India (CPI) while extending full support to Jammu bandh criticized the anti poor, anti traders, anti farmers and anti working class policies of BJP Government.
A meeting of Federation of Retailers Association was held under the chairmanship of Yash Paul Gupta its president in which it was decided to support the September 22 Jammu bandh call against the multinational companies.
Dogra Front Shiv Sena led by Ashok Gupta while supporting Jammu bandh call urged the Government not to go ahead with its decision as it would hit the small traders very hard.
All J&K Banquet Halls Association also held a meeting under the chairmanship of Ch Jar nail Singh in which it was decided to extend full support to September 22 Jammu bandh call.
Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) in its meeting held here, today under the chairmanship of Shoji Afar while supporting the bandh call of September 22 said that the people have now realized that the abrogation of Art 370 was a big mistake.

In a press conference Independent Councillors of Jammu Municipal Corporation—Inder Sing Sudan, Sucha Singh, Amit Gupta, Sandhya Gupta, Anu Bali, Anita, Rani Devi, Yudhvir Singh, Jagdish Kumar and others extended support to the Bandh call of September 22. These Councillors claimed that government’s decision to open Reliance stores in Jammu will badly affect small traders.
