More organizations, individuals condemn bomb blast at Jammu Bus Stand

JAMMU, Mar 8: More organizations, social activists and prominent people have condemned the yesterday’s bomb blast at Bus Stand Jammu, in which two persons were killed and more than 30 others got injured.
Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal, additional general secretary National Conference, has expressed his deep hurt and anguish at this dastardly attack on innocent people who were, almost all from the lower strata of society and surviving on small time jobs including labour. He said Islam and other religions do not subscribe to such wanton death and destruction. He also appealed to general public to remain calm and steadfast to ensure communal harmony and peace.
Ex MLA Pawan Gupta has said that this bomb blast was the nefarious design of Pakistan sponsored militancy in the State to trigger communal tension in otherwise peaceful Jammu. He also demanded a ban on Hurriyat Conference for complete check on separatist elements.
Senior Congress leader and working president District Congress Committee Udhampur, Ashwani Khajuria stressed that Government of India and Governor of the J&K State must crush the militancy with iron hand for saving lives of innocent people.
BJP District president, Udhampur, Rakesh Gupta also condemned brutal act of the militants who triggered blast in Jammu Bus Stand and appreciated J&K Police for the arrest of culprit within few hours.
Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) State Secretary Sumeet Magotra said that the country was passing though a dismal period of history and militancy in J&K State was increasing day by day.
Voluntary organization “Sada Huq” has also condemned the bomb blast at Jammu Bus Stand and demanded stern action against enemy across the border.
Under the banner of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena, people from various religions assembled here today to express their solidarity and send a message that nefarious designs to trigger communal trouble in Jammu will never be successful. Led by Ashok Gupta, the workers of Shiva and Dogra Front also took out a protest in Jammu city and torched Pakistan flag to register protest against the grenade attack at the Jammu bus stand.
Social activist T S Tony has strongly condemned the cowardly act of bomb blast and urged the civil society to maintain the peace and communal brotherhood as top priority. He also appreciated the Jammu Police for its alertness and vigilant team effort to apprehend the militant who was responsible for bomb blast.
Tony also strongly condemned the attack on two Kashmiri youths in Lucknow by some politically motivated people who were later arrested.
