Sir,
Today man has crossed the limits of decency and humbleness. Arrogance, misbehaviour, anger, mischief rule the roost. Only a few days back one Minister misbehaved with a chief engineer while discussing some problem to such an extent that the latter was compelled to tender resignation. It was only after the intervention of the Chief Minister that the CE resumed his work. Can’t matters be settled and resolved amicably, peacefully and with proper sagacity? After all Govt employees including a 4th class employee have got their own integrity and honour. The CE will be there in the department even at an exalted position but the Minister has to vacate if he does not win in the election, to take place within two or three months.
The news item in DE dated 9-8-14” DSP slaps two Govt officials” is one more instance of lack of morality. The lack of morality sometimes entails such events that a man gets horrified and feels very small and is compelled to think that the “Man in Man” has disappeared. In the times gone by, the kids would inherit moral values from the elders and grand parents. They would narrate their children stories of great saints and the children would imbibe and inherit such moral values. But Alas! the nuclear families have now proved too harmful today because the parents of such families would leave their children to the care of nurses and such parents, instead of taking care of the oldies, prefer to do away with them leaving them at the mercy of God. So in order to put the social fabric on right track, we need to give boost to moral valves. The schools and colleges can be of great help in such things, if the moral education is introduced in the schools from the very lowest classes. By doing so we will be doing a great service to the society.
Yours etc…
