Discrimination with Jammu students

Sir,
Apropos to the news item ‘Discrimination with Jammu’ DE Aug 8, Mr Narendrapal took the point regarding delaying tactics of SSRB regarding teacher’s list from Jammu division. I am to add it further. SSRB conducted the exam for said posts and for VLW on 16th Sept 2013. Till today a SSRB has declared six selection lists of teachers that include four from Kashmir division viz. Srinagar, Ganderbal, Shopian and Anantnag and two from Jammu division i.e Reasi and Poonch. Also three lists of VLW viz VLW for Kupwara, Kulgam and Baramulla, all from Kashmir division and none from Jammu, although the exam was held on the same date. Even interviews of some districts from Kashmir division were conducted much later than Jammu division, but their results were declared. The last interview of petitioners from Anantnag district was held on 21st July and their list was declared on 24 July, whileas interviews of Udhampur and Kathua districts were concluded on 1st and 5th of May , but they are still waiting for their results. Even interviews of Poonch district were concluded on 5th June and their result has lready been declared. Srinagar district’s list was declared just after a month from the conclusion of their interview.
By the time the lists from Jammu division will be out, our counterparts will be 6 to 8 month seniors and that would be a monetary loss of 1 to 1.5 lacks. So, its requested from concerned authorities to end their biased attitude towards Jammu division.
Yours etc….
Pankaj Singh
Jammu
