Moral education

Sir,
When we look around we find moral values  trampled and nibbled. One is shocked to know that corruption nepotism and crime is now deeply rooted in our society. Not only this our aged old foundation which was based on truth, now violence integrity and regard for elders has been now shaken and also weakened. The joint family system has broken and nuclear system has taken place. Love and affection is no more upheld and selfishness is now considered a good trait. We are not going through our golden treasure viz-a-viz our holy books and have kept them at bay.
This will take us nowhere. Let us sit together and resolve to fight against evils that have crippled our society. The need of the hour is to build a strong society where every individual stands as an epitome for others. We will stand accountable before our progeny if we fail to preserve our rich culture based on morality for the times ahead. It is very essential to impart moral education to our student community in every Institution from bottom to the top level. In addition to this print and electronic media can also play its role in  preserving moral values in the society. The diterioration in moral values is a matter of concern for all of us and it is moral duty of every same person in the society to rise to the occasion and fight this evil tooth and nail.
Yours etc..
S N Raina,
Jammu
