NEW DELHI, Sept 17: Prices of moong and arhar rose by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market on emergence of stockists buying supported by pick up in demand from retailers.
Traders said stockists buying on the back of pick up in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly pushed up moong and arhar prices.
Moong and its dal chilka local moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,400-6,900 and Rs 7,200-7,700 per quintal, respectively.
Its dal best quality and dhoya were enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 7,200-7,500 and Rs 8,000-8,100 per quintal.
Arhar and its dal dara variety were also up by Rs 100 each
to Rs 9,400-9,600 and Rs 10,900-11,000 per quintal, respectively.
